How to See Your Comments on TikTok

TikTok keeps a list of the comments you have posted. In the app it is under Profile, Menu, Settings and privacy, Activity center, Comment history. This covers what that list shows, what it leaves out, and how to get a downloadable copy.

Where is your comment history on TikTok?

In the TikTok app, per TikTok's manage comments page. It is also the quickest way to check that a giveaway entry actually posted before the deadline:

  • Tap Profile at the bottom.
  • Tap the Menu button (☰) at the top, then Settings and privacy.
  • Scroll to Activity center and tap Comment history.
  • Tap a comment to open the post it is on.

What doesn't comment history show?

Comment history is a list of your text comments, with three gaps TikTok itself names:

  • Video replies to comments do not appear.
  • Mentions and tags in your comments may not be clickable.
  • You cannot delete a comment from the history if the post has gone private or it was on a Story that has expired. Everything else can be removed: how to delete a comment on TikTok.

How do you download all your TikTok comments?

Request your data. TikTok's data request page says the file may include your comment history:

  • Go to Profile, Menu (☰), Settings and privacy, Account, Download your data.
  • Choose what to include and a file format, then tap Request data.
  • When it is ready, open the Download data tab and tap Download.
  • Preparing it can take a few days, the file stays available for up to four days, and the last 24 to 48 hours of activity may be missing.

How far back does TikTok comment history go?

TikTok does not state a limit. If you need an older comment and it is not in the list, the data download is the more complete record, with the gaps noted above.

How do you see all the comments on someone else's video?

Comment history only covers what you wrote. To read every comment on any public video, including other people's, in one searchable list, paste its link into the TikTok comment viewer. It shows up to about 1,000 comments, and the comment exporter saves them as a spreadsheet.
