TikTok Follower Count

TikTok rounds every follower count past 10,000, so 144,896,205 shows as 144.9M. Enter a username and see the exact number, plus the account's likes, following and video counts, then press Watch live to see it move.

How do you check someone's follower count on TikTok?

Type their username into the box above, with or without the @, or paste a link to their profile, and press Count followers. The big number is the exact follower count TikTok returns at that moment, with the account's likes, following and video counts under it, all unrounded.

On TikTok itself, open the profile: the count sits under the username. It is exact only while it is under 10,000, which is what the counter is for.

Why does TikTok show 144.9M instead of the exact number?

Because TikTok's profiles round any count from 10,000 up to one decimal place. Likes are rounded the same way, so a profile can show 1.5B likes where the exact figure is 1,548,209,358. TikTok does not say why it rounds. The counter shows the full number and, under it, what TikTok shows for it. Checked on tiktok.com on 2026-10-26:

Is it a live TikTok follower counter?

Yes, while you watch. Press Watch live and the counter reads the account again every 30 seconds while the tab is open, and shows how far the count has moved since your first read. It stops by itself after 5 minutes; one tap starts it again. Refresh now reads it once, whenever you like.

Each read is a fresh lookup of the count TikTok holds at that moment, not an estimate. On a big account it moves between reads: on 2026-10-26, MrBeast's count went from 144,896,112 to 144,896,140, 144,896,170 and 144,896,205, 45 seconds apart.

Why does a TikTok follower count jump around or go down?

People unfollow, so a count can fall as well as rise. On the very largest accounts there is a second reason: TikTok does not always return the same number twice in a row. Reading the @tiktok account 45 seconds apart on 2026-10-26 gave 96,432,495, then 96,430,638, then 96,432,517. MrBeast's read 144,896,205, then about 10,000 lower a minute later, then 144,896,607. A drop of thousands that is gone again at the next read is that, not followers lost.

If your own count looks stuck, refresh the profile, or check it here: the counter reads TikTok's number directly and does not cache it.

How do you see your own follower count?

Type your own username into the counter for the exact figure. In the TikTok app, Analytics in TikTok Studio shows your net followers over a period: tap Profile, the Menu ☰ button, TikTok Studio, then Analytics. On a computer, tiktok.com/tiktokstudio has a Followers section in Analytics with a demographic view of who follows you, per TikTok's TikTok Studio help page.

How many followers do you need to go live on TikTok?

1,000, and you must be 18 or older. TikTok's LIVE help page adds that the follower requirement "may vary across regions". Planning a giveaway on your first LIVE? TikTok LIVE giveaways covers what can and cannot be drawn from one. TikTok's rules for LIVE:

  • Be at least 18 to go LIVE.
  • Have 1,000 followers to go LIVE (may vary across regions).
  • Be at least 18 (or 19 in South Korea) to send or receive Gifts during a LIVE.
  • To go LIVE: tap Add post +, then LIVE at the bottom, add a title and tap Go LIVE.

How many followers do you need to get paid on TikTok?

10,000 for the Creator Rewards Program, TikTok's program that pays for videos over a minute long, and followers alone are not enough. From TikTok's Creator Academy page on the program, you need:

  • At least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
  • To be at least 18, with a Personal Account: Business Accounts do not qualify.
  • To be based in, and registered in, one of the countries it is open to: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil.
  • An account in good standing with the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
  • To apply: Profile, the Menu ☰ button, TikTok Studio, then Creator Rewards Program. TikTok says you hear back within three days.

Does the account know you checked its followers?

No. The lookup is made by this site's server, not by your TikTok account, so it does not show up anywhere on TikTok, and your browser never contacts TikTok at all. Nothing about the lookup is stored.
